Like all other websites not even NGD website is totally safe from being exploited by malicious online attackers, and while we try to ensure that all software running on this website is always up to date, the website fell victim to a attack with a different and unique attack vector.
We found injected hidden frames on the website, which tried to serve various malware by downloading a infected .pdf or java files to visitor's computers.
The website has been cleaned up, but just in case any of you were infected by the malvare, we recommend you run a full antivirus scan of your computers with up-to-date virus definition files.
If you do not have any anti-virus software, here are some popular suggestions:
Kaspersky AV free trial version:

Id never trust a Micro$oft product for that simply because they are not a company that just does AV. A company that just does AV and nothing else(Or well Internet Security in general) generally will detect far more stuff than something M$ makes.

Taken from
Wikipedia:
Micro$oft, M$ (Microsoft): used to emphasize the allegation that Microsoft has business practices that focus on making money rather than producing good products or looking after the end user's needs and interests. Microsoft was convicted under United States anti-trust law of taking unfair advantage of its monopoly position. Also criticized for taking advantage of loyal customers and upgrading products annually for an expensive price
