Physics video of my racing game

Postby MatAllum » Mon May 09, 2005 8:10 am

I think it's time I show you something other than still (therefore, posed to perfection) shots of Performance Auto Racing (formerly Reality Racing, Variety Racing, and The Racing World). Here it is - a mere 0.99 megs worth of a pretty good physics demo video.

It's also a preview of the graphics engine. What do you think?

I know it's only a few seconds long, but what do you think of that it's only 0.99 megs? (note: scroll down to the bottom of the page to get it)

Very nice :D
The sounds are very good, and the vehicle also moves realy nice.
Only thing is that the shadows look little strange. :P

Ya, I noticed that. I still have to turn on "stencil shadows." Trouble with them is that sometimes, parts of the shadow reach up and hang onto the car lol.

EDIT: I also hope to add a brake-squealing sound.

And here's my second video of the action, this time containing a bit of car contact. Actually, it is two videos in one.

Yeah, that's why I don't like it that Newton is constantly being updated in C++ and all that and not for GameStudio!

This too is very nice, and it is made with a outdated version of the SDK.
Very nice job.
