we want to use it to present the Newton Physics engine into our projects.

not in production yet, so ideas are wellcome :D

A big, big big problem has been the capture. We are using fraps and the physics simulation changes a lot on capturing. The only way we found to save this has been to set a fixed value (1/60) into NewtonUpdateWorld

Another important question is where can i get a bmp of your logo? I got the one that appears on the forums...

These threads have links to logo EPS and PSD files with alpha channels

EDIT: Just out of curiosity, how're you accomplishing the real-time blur? I'm getting ready to work on adding some shader-based emissive glow capability which requires a very efficient blur (On DX8 hardware). All I have to go off of is a couple articles, including the Tron glow article. Any other info is more than welcome :)

this is not exactly a simple blur, it's a Depth of Field effect.

http://www.ati.com/developer/gdc/Scheuermann_DepthOfField.pdf

The blur is acomplished downsampling the buffer 1/2. Then, apply a gaussian blur horizontaly, then another gaussian blur, but vertically.
So you get a 1/2 blurred image. Combining with the depth calcs, you get the depth of field effect

very cool video!

not entirely related, but here's a different realtime logo video I made a while back: http://walaber.com/misc/newton%20logo.avi
