Lua and NewtonSetOmega causes crash

Postby Lax » Mon Aug 26, 2019 12:53 pm

Hi Julio,

I had an issue with NewtonSetOmega called from Lua. After a while I got weird crashes.
I could solve the issue. I had to define:
Code: Select all
#define DG_SSE4_INSTRUCTIONS_SET

In the file:
dgTypes.h

Now it is working.

Would It be possible, that you define this instruction set in dgTypes.h?

Best Regards
Lax

but that code will make it crash on older cpus.
the only thong that define enable is single instruction dot products.
how did you determine that was the cause of the crash.

I cannot remember exactly which function in dgTypes caused that crash, because It was a longer time ago.
I debugged and to found the place and googled for a solution and that define came out.

If it is not possible to set this define, never mind. I will set the define each time I acquire a new newton version.
