dCustomLimitBallAndSocket becoming explosive

Postby pHySiQuE » Sun Jan 14, 2018 11:52 am

The dCustomLimitBallAndSocket joint is becoming explosive when the twist angle is enabled.

Twist limit is set to -0.785398185,0.785398185 radians.

It looks like maybe a sign is flipped:

I am going over all the 6 dof joints.
Is possible that will happens because it did on some of the other joints and I had to fix them.

I have not gotten to the ball and subject yet, so it should still work but I could be wrong.
After all joints are refactord there should be not different on the interface, so nothing should change on the Client side.
It is just that for me making new functionality was turning into an exercise on lot of duplicated code where joints had inconsistent frames and parameters.

I will do the ball and socket some time today and check the repro

Thanks.

I cannot update Newton right now because we are in the middle of a bug-fixing spree. I will revisit this later.
