Instance painter

Making an Instance painter in LW using Newton's raytracing services for placement and of course it's physics engine for animating. :)

Modo has similar feature, while you keep pressed the mouse button, you can rotate the model around the normal by dragging mouse - very useful.
Do you use special hardware or is lightwave that fast in pathtracing?

No special hardware, LW's VPR is that fast. I did use "Backdrop only" radiosity for speed but Monte Carlo isn't much slower for this particular scene.

maybe when convex cast is in and all debugged the the placement can be more reliable than the ray cast.
basially it can be seen as casting a sick ray by weeping teh shape.
