Physics demo thing...

Postby AriusMyst » Mon Apr 21, 2008 7:12 am

Firstly, hi. :)

I created this using Delphi and Truevision3D. Not sure what version of Newton TV is currently using( 1.6? ). Anyways, I'm more of a graphics guy, but I managed to bash this out over the last couple days.

This is a great work! Looks fantastic. Especially the bloom and the shadowmapping give it a smooth look. All in all it's really assuasive ;)

PS: will you share the exe?

Hey I downloaded and played it and i pretty love it :)

The only thing you could make better would be the camera control. It's too restricted for my taste.
Maybe looking around with the mouse and zooming with the mousewheel( by that changing the tilt of the cam, too)

oh and why is that attractive sphere in that yellow..forcefield? i can't enter

So great work, keep it up

Hehe, yea, I did get lazy with the controls. Those are the gravity spheres force fields. You can disable them by throwing physics objects at them, after a certain amount of mass the forcefield goes away.

See: http://youtube.com/watch?v=4VVhYovWRlE

Anyways, for a silly demo the process taught me quite a bit. I'm currently working on ideas for making a fun little game - in which the controls will be mouse etc and a lot smoother :).
