manage joint stiffness

Postby blackbird_dream » Thu Nov 12, 2020 3:54 am

Hi all,
I'm using newton-dynamics-2c36d5b99507e52de8eb83e701315ea5aaa3be10 (18/12/2019)
I'd like to know how to change the stiffness of dCustomBallAndSocket joints, ideally make them pure rigid.
Thks so much.

It seems that using dCustomSixdof instead does the job of lockig rotations => no rotations allowed.
Then my question is : how to allow rotations with this joint and manage the angular stiffness ?
Thks

Thks to Dave,
the solution was to use a dCustomDoubleHinge and play with SetAsSpringDamper and SetAsSpringDamper1
