Cleaning up joints?

I am moving my engine to C++11 smart pointers and have a question about how joints are deleted.

If I create a joint between two bodies and then delete one of the bodies, is the joint automatically deleted?

Is this the same for NewtonJoints an dCustomJoints?

if you delete a joint only the joint is deleted.
if you delete a body, all joints connected to that body are deleted.
