Correct preprocessor defines for Android

Postby Slick » Sat Jun 18, 2016 9:26 am

Should I define _POSIX_VER when building Newton for Android? I have a feeling that I should.

When I do build using that define I get an error about missing file pmmintrin.h: No such file or directory.

I'd never build the engine for android, but I believe you do need to use the Posit define.
almost all no windows, platform would build with that define including OSX and Linux.
before OSX the first version of newton was build using the POSIR Build.

try comment put the define. and see if it build, there must be an equivalent include for ANDROID.
how do you build android, do you use windows or a Linux system?

I'm using Visual Studio 2015 that has nice support for native apps on Android.

It does build without the define but I am still trying to work out why I have a crash in the worldupdate (see my other thread) and I was guessing (but don't know) that I maybe needed to build with the define. Should it make a difference?
