I tried the built-in hinge joint limits in the jointlibrary (SDK 2.04). When the hinge limits are set to 0,180, a door will be stopped at 0. When it reaches 180, it will go in the wrong direction until it reaches 0 again.
It seems to work when I use -90,90, but I need to be able to rotate the limit in any direction, to make doors.
