Model File Formats (.dg)

Postby MrPattern » Fri May 22, 2009 1:42 pm

Hi, in the examples I noticed that model files are loaded as a .dg file format, I am currently using 3DS Max 8 and I was wondereing where I could find and importer/exporter for this format? Also what is the 'dg' format?

Also is this the only supported format without writing or adding another format loader.

Thanks!

The format is only used for old newton 1.53 demos, it's not used by newton itself.

there is 2.0 too

the dg format is something I made up, forget about it it is all robish
The reason I made it was because I was thinking to use free 3d assets, and many of the licences say that it cannot be distributed in a modifiabel format.
since then I change to an ascci format with come with a seprate SDK library.
It comes with Milk Shape plug in.

The format is very eassy to convert to Max, or SXI.
I have plug in but I cannot distribute them since I do not XSI licence tha alow me to detribute SDK.
