How do I include the JointLibrary?

Postby stringa » Fri May 08, 2009 6:44 pm

Well, I can include newton fine. I'm a little confused on how to include the Joint Library because as I keep looking at it, it has a rediculous number of dependancies.

I see the JointLibrary.lib/.dll in the SDK folder, but there is no .h file for it. If I use the .h file provided, There is no definition for Custom Joints. I'm just confused on what I need to do. Do I basically have to build the jointlibrary myself even thought here is an included .dll and .lib file? Can I just use the ones provided in the SDK?

Please Help

THanks,

The .h is present in NewtonWin-2.00\NewtonWin-2.00\sdk\dCustomJoints
If you rebuild the JointLibrary the .h is copied in \NewtonWin-2.00\sdk
If the .h is not present in the sdk, it is because you get surely a error when you compile the lib.
Or some folder's setting in the ide config make it go in a other place...

Normally you can use the dll in coming with the demo folder.
You can need to rebuild the jointlibray if you do modification in the source or if you like to make a final release.

If you use the lib you just add it in your project config...
PS: Don't forget maybe you need to rebuild or add in the ide config some other lib like mathlib and tinyxml, it depend from what you use with.
You search a nice physics solution, if you can read this message you're at the good place
