performance issue

Postby armokal » Mon Mar 09, 2009 6:08 pm

I have built a scene with about 75 boxes, stacked. When the scene is stable, FPS = 450 to 500
when I hit the wall of boxes, FPS goes down quickly and goes back up to 450FPS.
If I hit hard enough and boxes start moving and falling and shaking, FPS is about 22, much later, it stables back to 450FPS.
I am using 1.53
Also, I have a core2 duo, 1.6GHz

Any comments?

Yes try the new version beta and use the solver set to 1.
The 1.53 use precision solver and request a lot more when objects enter in collision, and the solver set to 1 in the 1.53 lose so much precision stability.
Try the new newton 2 beta, this new beta have a nice solver and set to 1 it do a very nice job.

You search a nice physics solution, if you can read this message you're at the good place
