How can I obtain distances?

Postby ToniMachado » Mon Mar 02, 2009 1:13 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm new user of Newton Game Dynamics, and I'm developing my own simulator to my PhD.
This one has intention to simulate a mobile robot which has distance sensors.

My problem is:
- How can I obtain a distance from a point, in a specific direction, to the closest interception?

I saw in the help the NewtonWorldRayCast funtion but I don't understand how use it.

Anybody can help me to solve this problem?

I do not even have 1.53 in any of my machines, you should use 2.0

Still recommended that you use 2.0 (see the sticky post about it). 1.53 has several issues which are non-existent in 2.0, and 2.0 is generally the latest version that should be used.

I have it in CD archives. buy sinc eteh last time I use it I change computers, and I think I have a version in my old pemtium.
But we sould let 1.53 retire with dignity and honor, It served for three years and till kicks some arse
