Linux 64bit

Postby Coolcat » Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:07 am

Hi :)

I have some problems to link Newton on my 64bit Linux.
When linking with "-lNewton" I got:
Code: Select all
/usr/bin/ld: skipping incompatible lib/libNewton.a when searching for -lNewton
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lNewton

When linking as "lib/libNewton.a":
Code: Select all
/usr/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `lib/libNewton.a(Newton.o)' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
/usr/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `lib/libNewton.a(NewtonClass.o)' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
/usr/bin/ld: i386 architecture of input file `lib/libNewton.a(NewtonRagdoll.o)' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
...

I found something in the forum, e.g.
The linux update to 64 bit had to do with the fact (...)

Is there an 64bit library for Linux available? I didn't find it.
I found also this thread, but it does not help.

Thanks in advance. :)
