Basic Car Motion

Postby adam450 » Fri Jan 16, 2009 11:34 pm

I looked at the vehicle code in Tutorial 9 (though it didnt come with a tutorial).

I'm trying to do something more basic:

Car is represented as a box.

A and D - apply omega on the y-axis to turn the car
W and S - apply a force on the car forward and backward to accelerate the car

Now if I go fast and let go of the gas, I would slow to 0 because of friction. My problem though, is how would I go about turning a moving car (not accelerating)?

-Rotate Velocity, Apply Torque on the x-axis (or maybe y-axis)?
