A Ghost Newton Body

Postby issac_newbi » Thu Oct 23, 2008 11:36 pm

dear all,

I am trying to do a water simulation. I have now in the scene some boxes with buoyancy force, and simple water surface mesh(it's a simple ogre mesh).
I want my mouse to click on a point and the coordinate of that point is returned. I found some codes(using OgreNewt Ray) on the internet and it proved works, but on the boxes only. I tried to find out why and the reason is that the code I found works on newton body only. Since the clicks will mainly on the water surface, so I convert my water surface mesh to a newton body.
And that problem comes, if the plane become a newton body, the boxes cannot go through and the plane becomes a ground instead of a fake water surface.
May I ask if I can have a newton body that can be passed through? Like the real water or some semi solid?

you can set up a special material which does not collide with any other and use it as a static body.
