Radial force from a spot

Postby issac_newbi » Wed Sep 10, 2008 1:52 pm

Hi all,
I am doing my final year project, I have an application using ogre, ogrenewt and newtonSDK. It is 3D but will be always in top-down view.
Illustrated by the picture below, I have a ground and 8 boxes.
It is possible for me to add a force on nothing, I mean no body (at the black spot) and a force is applied in a radial manner and push the boxes outward in the directions indicated by the white arrows?
If that is possible, would you mind give me some directions to do this?
Many thanks to all !!

What do you mean by adding the force on "no" body? You always need to add a force on a boy...

can you just calculate teh force usn teh distance

dir = normalize (bodycenert - origin)
fore = dir.Scale (magnitud)
