Getting Setup [EDIT]

Postby dpadam450 » Tue Aug 26, 2008 7:47 pm

*EDIT, I got the tree to work. I would assume that the engine computes normals with the planes you send it, based on CW/CCW data? Is this correct?

I have a collision model for my level which I am having trouble with, but I have a couple questions:

1.) The user doesn't supply normals for the mesh. I'm wondering this because I have ceilings and floors.
2.) In tutorial 3:

User defined collision will be covered in the Advanced Collision tutorial. For now we will just say this collision geometry is useful for meshes with a known access pattern, like height maps or procedural geometries. For most geometry, collision tree is the best choice.

Right now I have a 3d model of collision, but for debugging, I'm just using 1 2D ground plane. Do I use Collision Tree or user defined collision tree? And I don't see any different calls for user defined vs. the other.
