Newton SDK WIKI created

Postby walaber » Mon Feb 14, 2005 6:44 am

I've created a WIKI for the Newton SDK today, and spent some time setting it up, making a simple FAQ, etc.

please feel free to visit it, and edit it as much as you like. with a little work (together), it could be a GREAT place for FAQs, code snippets, etc.

I am going to attempt to find time to add all of the tutorials to the site. I added the first one and made an index page for the others.

I will add the rest of the tutorials as they originally were (reformatted for the WIKI) and then I or someone else can improve them later.

cool. any help in adding stuff would be great!

I think a section called "API Notes" would be pretty cool, where users can put comments about certain functions, explaining common uses, things to watch for, etc. I'll add the basic framework for such a section when I get a chance!

Also thanks SnprBoB86 for suggesting the wiki originally. Now we only to implement Sascha's suggestion of a bug tracker...

I'm afraid I don't have much control over the server speed... but it's better than nothing, right?

When there wasn't WiKi there wasn;t speed problem:)

Now there's WiKi problem occurs;)

Personally I don't mind it because it's not meant to be visited every five minutes.

Nice work walaber, a WIKI is almost a must for such projects like Newton nowadays. We also have a WIKI running for our german OpenGL-community and it's a very great thing to share knowledge.

I hope the Newton wiki grows fast, and as soon as I find some time I'll try to contribute something to it (I'm thinking of at least doing some nice graphics for the different joint types and some other things).

P.S. : Since I'm newseditor for two pages, do you mind if I mention the Wiki there?

walaber, i sent you a PM but apparently u don't check ;)
I have a website that i mainly use for my personal storage, no traffic, so i have more than 15 GBs of bandwidth to spare, I'd be more than glad to host a mirror of the wiki if you'd like...

if anyone knows how to "mirror" a wiki, I'd be open to that option...
