You can't describe a universal joint cause you can literally do anything with it. So you can only show some cases where you implement some specific joint with the universal joint. (see the samples in the SDK)

Look at the "sdk\customJoints"-Subdir, there are 9 different examples, but not all are finished (like the raycast one).

NewtonCreateCompoundCollision seems to work fine on dynamic bodies for me, I presume its been mis-categorized?
ps. How does one go about helping out? I've never used a wiki (beyond reading them) before.

compound collision makes an agregate of convex pieces, it is meant to work as dynamic or static body.
The only collision that is set to be static by definition is the collision tree.

just sign up at the wiki page (get an account), and then press the "edit" button at the top of any page to edit it's content.

or, if there's a link that leads directly to the edit page, that means the page doesn't yet exist, so you should put some info in there! :D

right now most of the major callbacks have at least been commented on by someone... but the main API commands are still pretty barren.

=========================

Sometimes i'm adding descriptions of joints (and some other functions).

Though, maybe you don't like the way i do it :

If you don't like with colors, i'll remove them. So, please, tell me :-)

Wiki keeps telling me to log in

Postby Slick » Mon May 30, 2005 3:25 pm

I can access the odd page here and there but then it starts telling me to log in again. Is anyone else having problems?

Yep checked the box. Tried two different browsers and cookies are enabled. I guess it must be me if nobody else has this issue.

Update: I changed "enable userdata persistence" in IE and it seems to work now.
