Ice Snake contest entry

Postby zircher » Fri Dec 03, 2004 1:09 am

Since the Newton license asked for me to post something, I'd thought I'd mention that I entered a Newton powered game in The Game Creators last contest. Ice Snake is a 3D variation on classic snake. This was my first stab at a Dark Basic Pro contest and I thought that I placed fairly well.

You can find out more about the game and download it here:

wow! i like it a lot! :) cool snake physics...

(on my pc it spans across both monitors and the snake is in the middle so it's a bit hard to play sometimes.)

I think this is really cool. I passed level one, but then I fail in level two, and it took me back to level one again. I think it needs a save level option.
I love the snake physics it is much more polished than the last time I saw it.

Thanks for posting it here.

I played some more. I observed the snake more carefully. And I have to say I am very intrigued about the snake physics, it makes some moves that it makes it looks like a real snake, specially when is very long.

This turned into a really cool game!! :D

there were a few entries into this competition that used Newton to some degree...

once I release my wrapper for 1.30, the number of DBPro users using Newton will probably shoot through the roof 8)

very cool, downloading it now :)

I noticed the project description says Newton is open source :-\ Might want to change that if possible.
