FUR - Fast Uber Racer

Postby z0r » Mon Dec 07, 2009 11:39 am

Hi all,

I want to share that I'm using Newton 1.53 for a race game. For this I used the old vehicle container which does it's job fairly good with a lot of tweaking.

It was for the PGD annual compo ( http://www.pgdannual.com ) Arcadia. Goal: make an arcade cabinet ready game.
That's why we have the "insert coin".

Also I have some future plans for it. Maybe I will include some weapons as long as it doesn't interfere to much with the racing game play.
And I still want to rewrite some parts of the game/engine include migrating to newton 2.x(11) (or whatever is available for Delphi now).

If you want you can try the game. a downloadable version is on my website.

I think since you are campable of tweaking the car joint 1.53 you could be susscefull teaking the Raycast car in 2.0
it is much, much faster and stable. Plsu you get the code so it is simpler to make adjustments.
Give it a go.

The delphi headers should be 100% upto date. 2.11 is the latest version thats available to the public.
