Yeah, it's a bit too dark. Gimme an hour or two and I'll upload a new video that's a bit brighter, the problem I think is the dark terrain texture (that's btw. wrongly rendered in that video *grr*). I'll brighten that up and make lighting a brighter and upload a new video then.

So here it is, a new video. It's longer (almost 6 minutes) and everything is a lot brighter than in the other video, so I guess it's best if you replace that youtube-video with this one :

Haha, just take a look at this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ1seG7MHZU

It's a new south korean mbt and now skip to 1:15 and look what it can do with it suspension. It can lower it at demand, that's looking bad-ass. Maybe I should put this into my demo too

That's common. Most "smaller" countries build their tanks based on popular designs. Most western-oriented countries use the german Leopard A2 or the US M1A1 as a base for their own tanks, whereas the estern-oriented countries like china usually base their tanks on the russian T90 (or newer). You can most of the times see what base they used when looking at the tracks and wheels and the chassis.

But it's great to see what modern tanks can do, I just saw a video of the new japanese tank that is supposed to go into service 2011, and these tanks use a peer-to-peer wireless network to automatically share information between tanks on the battlefield.

I have released the demo, link and info here : http://www.newtondynamics.com/forum/vie ... php?t=4279

Please read the included readme.txt and the hint about the gamepad. I tested on my two different logitech pads and it worked, but someone on IRC told me that his pad didn't work like it should. You also may need to setup different axes in the settings dialog.

Just a quick note that I updated the demo. In the initial release, axes settings for input device wouldn't be adopted, so changes axes and buttons for track and turrets didn't work. If you had problems changing those to follow your gamepad's layout please redownload.
