Problem with scaled mesh

Postby Bird » Sun Nov 04, 2012 10:40 pm

I made a simple scene with 2 bodies. One is a dynamic convex hull and the other is a static collision tree. Both have scaling applied. There's no problem if the static mesh is not scaled.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or this is a Newton bug but here's what I see.

And here's the exported scene.

yes that look wrong.
I notice that bug when sacling static meshes, and I posponed the fix for it, tha is why the demo with the tea pots I temporarilly remove the mesh scale

This was ok by afte I made a chneg doing the Continue collision, I intrucuded a side effect in the mesh scaling.
I will fix it.
I may decide to onlu support uniform scale on statioc meshes.
The calculation for continue collsion with no usning scale on a poligonal face require expensive general matrix inversion.
If I can not find a way to do by invetion teh componeneds, I may up for uniform scale on static meshes.

anyway this is a bug that I will fix, or fix the explanation.
